Proper skin care at 30 and over

Facial skin care over 30 should include professional salon procedures, special beauty products, home treatments, healthy diet and a lifestyle. Around this age, the first signs of aging would become visible, first wrinkles would appear, the skin would become less elastic. Everyone faces skin fading, but the intensity of aging depends on your heredity and, in big proportion, on your lifestyle up until now and how carefully you treated your face in past.
⚠️ After the age of 30-35 female body slows down all the processes, incl. metabolism:
👉 Production of sebum decreases;
👉 Lipid layer is thinned;
👉 The cornea thickens;
👉 Production of collagen and elastin reduces, which leads to the formation of wrinkles;
👉 Blood supply to the tissues gets disrupted, so the complexion worsens;
👉 Muscle tone is decreasing, especially the facial one, resulting in appearance of nasolabial folds;
👉 The corners of the mouth are lowered;
👉 Cheeks sag.
All of these can be significantly slowed down if you carry out a methodical and constant face care at 30 and over.

In the morning 🌞

The routine should begin with cleansing the face from skin oil and other secretions formed during sleep. For dry skin, it is better to choose facial cleanser, oily and normal skin can be cleaned using water with a facial wash or foaming cream instead of soap.

What water is the best to wash?

Use water of ambient temperature, cold water leads to the narrowing of blood vessels (vasoconstriction) and loss of elasticity, hot water leads to the widening of blood vessels (vasodilation) and loss of natural fatty interlayer. It is better to wash with thawed or at least boiled water, since tap water contains a lot of chlorine.

Do not forget about toning, it completes the cleansing process, restores the moisture balance and prepares the face for the cream. You can use ready-made toner that match your skin type or prepare it yourself.
The simplest and most affordable face toner at any time of the year is prepared by mixing a teaspoon of honey, 5-6 tablespoons of boiled water and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Area around the eyes

Do not use regular moisturizing cream around your eyes, it is too heavy for this delicate and vulnerable area, which does not contain adipose (fat) layer. Use your ring finger (it has minimal impact) in accordance with the massage lines (from the outer corners of the eyes to the inner ones in a circular motion).

When to drink water?

In order to prevent the appearance of morning puffiness, do not consume lot of salty food and do not drink a lot of liquid for 3 hours before going to bed. In the afternoon, on the contrary, it is recommended to drink at least one and a half liter of water to moisturize the skin from the inside.

Sun protection

In sunny season, after cleansing and toning, the face should be moisturized and protected from UV rays. Choose your skin moisturizer, aimed at the age 30 + with SPF and vitamins-antioxidants C and E, hyaluronic acid, which enhances the effect of moisturizing components, substances that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, and retinol, which accelerates the renewal of epidermal cells.
Skin care over 35 should include anti-ageing beauty and makeup products.

In the evening 🌘

Facial care routine consists of the same stages as in the morning, just use a night cream instead of a day cream. Apply it about an hour before bedtime, lightly massaging the face, in order to avoid the appearance of morning puffiness. Cream leftovers are removed with a napkin after 15-20 minutes.

How to choose your night cream ?

Night cream usually has a more complex composition, contains more fat than day cream and does not contain UF filters. Choose a product that contains vitamins, retinol, collagen, ceramides, peptins, hydroacids, coenzyme, natural ingredients (essential oils, chamomile, aloe, calendula).

Evening skin care routine for the age of 35+ should consiste of a cream with phytoestrogens, hormones, enzymes, amino acids, biologically active substances.

Start using a scrub or gommage. Dry skin requires such cleaning once a week, while for normal, oily and combination skin twice a week would be ideal.

Face masks

Face masks are a mandatory procedure when caring for your face at 30 and over, if you want to keep it young for a long time. Apply them regularly twice a week.

At 30+ it is necessary to include serums, if you do not suffer from blood vessels condition. They are applied in the morning and evening before using the cream, however not constantly, but in a course of treatments with duration 1-2 month twice a year. Serums act quickly, restoring skin elasticity, tighten it, reduce wrinkles, lighten age spots and even out the color.

Pay a visit to a kincare therapist or cosmetologist

Do not ignore the services of professional skincare therapists and beauty salons. Proper facial skin care at 30 and over involves a monthly visit to a skincare therapist for a face massage and a peel, as well as any other procedure recommended by a Skincare therapist and based on your skin condition.
